Hi, I am Canela. I am a gentle, loving dog who starts out a little shy but warms up quickly once I feel safe. I was rescued while pregnant after surviving the streets and being mistreated. Thanks to kind people, my puppies were born safely, and now it is my turn to find a forever home. I love peaceful walks, warm sunny naps, and quiet moments of play. I am great with kids and would do best in a home with a yard where I can relax and explore. I get along well with other dogs, but cats and small apartments are not the best fit for me. With patience and kindness, I will become a loyal and affectionate companion. If you open your heart to me, I will fill your home with love. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Adoption Process: “Each time one of our dogs is adopted, you made room to save another from the street” Step 1: Fill out an application Step 2: Watch for an email scheduling an interview Step 3: Zoom video interview where we will ask questions to get to know you better Step 4: A second Zoom video call to meet the dog, the foster and ask more questions about the dog Step 5: We call your references Step 6: You sign an Adoption Contract and pay the adoption fee Step 7: We confirm transport dates and details. At that tme you pay the transport fee
