Meet Canela!<br/><br/>Canela is a six-year-old Pit Bull mix with a heart full of love. She is gentle, affectionate, and everything you could want in a companion. Having spent years as a beloved house dog, shes fully house-trained and settles beautifully into home life. While she may look like an athlete, dont let her fool you—shes really a couch potato with good genetics! Shed much rather spend her day relaxing beside her people than running a marathon.<br/><br/>Canela is fully trained in all the basics, including come, sit, down, stay, and heel. She has accompanied us on numerous public outings and is always a joy to work with. Shes attentive, eager to please, and very food motivated, making her an excellent partner for continued training or adventures with her future family.<br/><br/>Canela came to us after being surrendered due to conflict with another dog in her previous home. While we always take that history seriously, she has been a pleasant surprise. Since arriving, she has been calm, easygoing, and largely indifferent around other dogs, showing none of the significant dog aggression we were led to expect. That said, because of her history, we believe she would be happiest as the only dog in the home or with an experienced adopter who can provide slow, thoughtful introductions if another dog is involved.<br/><br/>Above all, Canela is looking for a calm, loving home where she can be close to her people and enjoy all the comforts of family life.
