Candy's Story

If you're looking for a little sugar with a sprinkle of sass, Candy might be your perfect match. This petite sweetheart has settled beautifully into her foster home and gets along well with her dog siblings-she loves a good play session and happily tosses toys around like it's her full-time job.

Candy could absolutely be a devoted one-person pup (she loves having "her" human), but she can also thrive in a home with others. When it's snuggle time, though, she prefers VIP access to her favorite person-sharing the spotlight isn't really her thing.

She's house-trained and will politely let you know when she needs to go out. Candy sleeps quietly through the night in her crate like a perfect angel. During the day, she can feel a bit anxious if crated for long stretches, so she'd do best with someone who's retired, works from home, or simply isn't gone for extended hours. The good news? She's not destructive when left alone for shorter periods.

Candy walks fairly well on leash and truly enjoys her strolls-though polishing up those leash manners would make her even more of a superstar. She already knows "sit" and is working hard on "come." Smart and eager to please!

One important note: Candy is vocal, so she's not suited for apartment or townhouse living. She likes to use her voice and would be happiest in a detached home where she can express herself without bothering neighbors.

Candy is sweet, playful, loyal, and full of personality. With the right family who appreciates her cuddly devotion and gives her the companionship she craves, she will make a truly wonderful addition.
