Candy's Story
Hi there! My name is Candy, and I'm a 4-year-old chocolate lab. I'm a pretty good size, weighing in at 77 pounds of pure, wagging happiness. My foster family says I'm a very smart and playful dog, and I think they're right! My favorite games are "kissy face" with the other dogs here, which involves a lot of slobbery kisses, and a good old tug-o-war. We also have a lot of fun chasing bunnies in the yard, though I know I'm not allowed to actually catch them.

I really love my people. I'm super attentive, especially when they're talking to me. I think that'll be extra helpful when someone starts taking me to training. I'm really focused and I just want to make them happy, so I'll follow commands pretty easily. You'll probably find me right by your side most of the time. I'm also very good with the little humans, the ones who are still learning how to walk and talk. They're so fun to be around!

My foster family has helped me learn a schedule for going potty, and it works out really well. When they leave the house, I don't need to be put in a crate. I just find my comfy dog bed and catch some zzz's. One important thing, though, is that I really need a fenced-in yard. I get so excited when I go outside because I love looking for bunnies and squirrels. I have a strong urge to chase them, so a fence will keep me and them safe. That means no birds or bunnies for me to either. They also haven't tested me with cats, so I should probably avoid those too.

Overall, I'm just a typical, loyal, and goofy lab. I'm really social and I think I'd fit into most family situations wonderfully. I can't wait to find my forever home!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
