Candy – Chow/Samoyed mix – 6 yrs. – Female<br/><br/><br/>Our beautiful little girl has had a tough go of things - her first owner who loved her very much died and Candy was found several days later sitting next to him along with another dog, very sad. She was then taken into rescue where she was placed with a nice family where she lived for almost a year before they fell onto hard times. They lost their home and instead of calling Stealing Hearts and returning Candy they placed her in a boarding facility where she set for FOUR months waiting for them to come back - they never did. Because Candy is chipped (thankfully!) the facility was able to call us and we immediately picked her up. Now the really sad part – we placed her with a family where she lived for almost three years and she was just returned because she and the small female dog starting fighting! So once again this amazing girl is back! This little girl is SOOOO Sweet! She wants nothing more than a stable home and people that will love her and care for her for the rest of her life! That's what we want too! Candy is amazing with children (she lived with two young kids) and great with other bigger male dogs. She is housebroken, crate trained and good in the house. She walks well on a leash and loves attention. Candy is not a big barker and is good in a car. Because of her beautiful long coat, she requires regular grooming and will shed quite a bit however good food and regular brushing can help with that immensely. Candy's only "issue" is that she will run if given the chance - she'll bolt out a door and make a game out of trying to catch her! She thinks it's funny to let you get close and then smile, turn and run. Since she loves car rides if she does "go for a little run", an open car door is more than she can pass up and she'll jump right in.
