Camo came into our program as a reserved mild mannered 8 month old Presa Canario puppy who was confiscated from an illegal breeding program. The dog warden she had come from had done most of her vet care and being that she was so young and they had no reason to suspect otherwise sent her to us as fully healthy. Little did we all know however that this very young girl was hiding a secret. She came into the sanctuary pregnant and not just a little pregnant but gave birth 3 weeks later. She was never visibly pregnant and it wasn't until I walked by her suite and noticed her a bit more swollen than usual that we rushed her same day to the vet and it was discovered she was due to deliver. Our staff was so sad. This poor puppy! We were sick with worry but she made it through. <br/>With the bitter came the sweet and she delivered healthy babies. She was the very best mama and made our staffs jobs so easy. She was the epitome of a wonderful momma. <br/>Fast forward and this sweet girl is still in our program. All her puppies adopted but her daughter who is still available as well. Neither females have any interest at all. Both just living their day to day life with our staff waiting for their forever families. <br/>Camo is a very sweet girl. She is on the petite side for a Presa but is still a stocky large dog. She is mellow and mild mannered and just wants to be with humans. She doesn't mind other dogs and has never been around cats. She has been socialized extremely diligently and has always been a staff favorite however Presa's require a home with giant breed experience. They are a highly intelligent and strong willed breed and although Camo is quite the unicorn for her breed will require a family that understands the breed and will accommodate to her size and training/socialization needs. <br/>Camo is kennel trained, is extremely affectionate, and loves people. <br/>Interested in this sweet girl?
