Camilla is a beautiful brindle mix. She is very smart, athletic and has a sweet, goofy personality.<br/><br/>Camila is house trained, walks well on a leash or harness, knows basic commands, and is very food motivated. <br/><br/>She would make the ideal running or hiking partner but also also loves to spend the evening cuddling on the couch. Camila loves playing in water, and would make the perfect companion for those day trips to the coast!<br/><br/>Camila would do fine with older children. She is very large so may not be a good fit with small kids. She is plays best with larger dogs. We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada. <br/><br/>The first step is to submit an application on our website here: https://www.adogsnewlife.org/adopt<br/><br/>Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check. If your application is approved, we collaborate with flight companions (flight angels) flying from Puerto Vallarta to destinations close to where the dog is posted as available. Adopters can meet these flight angels at the airport and take the pup home. (We can provide more detailed information about this process to adopters upon request.) Before requesting adoption fees or the signing of the adoption contract we give adopters a few days to a week to spend time with their new pup. If for some reason things were not to work out, we kindly ask that the adopters foster the dog until we find a suitable home for them.<br/><br/>A few notes about our pups:<br/><br/>- Most of our shelter dogs are accustomed to being outside and free-roaming unless otherwise stated. Some may have been in homes before and could be potty trained but in a new environment they would need easy access to the outside and be re-acclimated to their designated potty area. We cannot guarantee a pup is potty trained unless they are with a foster or surrendered to us with noted training. <br/><br/>- We send more videos/pictures of our dogs. Unfortunately, we cannot do live videos at our shelter.<br/><br/>- Our dogs are given de-wormer, tested negative for heartworm, (unless otherwise noted) are up to date on required vaccines for travel and receive regular flea and tick treatment. They have also been evaluated by our vet who has provided any necessary medical care upon rescue.<br/><br/>-Last but not least we LOVE our dogs and we hope you do too. They have hearts of gold and so much love to give. Please be kind and patient with them; they are worth it! It takes time to adjust to new people and new places. <br/><br/>We are on IG and FB. Please consider adopting as we have over 150 dogs and the shelter is full.
