Calzone was found as a stray, and of course, nobody seems to know where he came from. Calzone has quickly become a shelter favorite. This gentle boy is fairly big but walks fantastic on a leash. He sits and shakes for treats and poses for you. We have all fallen in love with him and want him to find the best family to love and put a smile on his face. The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
