🐾 **OUR ADOPTION POLICIES & PROCESS — Finding the Right Fit, Building Lifelong Connections!** At Team Memphis Rescue and Support (TMRS), alongside our Pennsylvania team (TMRSPA) and expanding rescue network, our reach extends across state lines, but our mission remains: finding the right families for every one of our dogs and building lifelong connections rooted in love and trust. ❤️🐾 **🐾 Step 1: Start With an Application** Complete our application so we can learn about you, your home, your lifestyle, and what you're looking for in a new family member. **🐾 Step 2: Let's Get to Know Each Other!** We'll connect with you personally, discuss your expectations, answer questions, and complete personal and veterinary reference checks. Our process includes home visits, photos, videos, and meet-and-greets to get to know you and help ensure a safe, comfortable home for our dog. We're not looking for perfection. We're looking for love, responsibility, and a home where every one of our dogs can thrive. **Our goal isn't to find reasons to say no. It's to set both you and our dog up for a lifetime of happiness together.** **🐾 Step 3: Meet the People Who Know Our Dogs Best** Our fosters open their homes, share their lives, and form wonderful bonds with the dogs entrusted to their care. Through conversations and video chats, our fosters share each dog's personality, routines, and lovable little quirks. **🐾 Step 4: Finding Your Perfect Match** We consider each dog's personality and needs to create a match where both you and our dog can flourish. **🐾 Step 5: Welcome to the Team Memphis Family!** We love staying connected, celebrating milestones, receiving updates, and watching every one of our dogs flourish in their forever homes. Our adopters become lifelong friends, and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog we once held close become the center of someone else's world. **🚐 Love Knows No ZIP Code!** Transport is available to approved, loving homes! We'll help coordinate it because the perfect family isn't always right around the corner. --- **🐾 Our Adoption Requirements** **Every single one of our dogs matters to us.** Their health, happiness, and future are responsibilities we take to heart. Our adoption requirements reflect that commitment: - **Age:** Adopters must be at least 21. - **Vaccinations:** All household pets must be current on rabies and all required age-appropriate vaccinations. No exceptions. - **Spay & Neuter:** All household pets must be spayed or neutered unless medically exempt by a licensed veterinarian. - **Preventative Care:** All household pets must be on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. - **Veterinary Verification:** We verify veterinary references and records. These requirements help ensure our dogs enter homes where responsible care and lifelong commitment come first. **We put our hearts into every one of our dogs, and we want to place them with families who will love and protect them just as fiercely as we do.** ❤️🐾 --- **❤️ Our Commitment Doesn't End at Adoption** Adoption isn't the end of our journey together. It's the beginning of a lifelong connection between you, our dog, and the Team Memphis family. **❤️ A Lifelong Commitment — Our Door Is Always Open** **Once a Team Memphis dog, always a Team Memphis dog.** When you adopt from Team Memphis, you're becoming part of our family, too. Life takes unexpected turns, circumstances change, and sometimes the hardest decisions come from the deepest love. **If life ever brings you to a place where keeping our dog is no longer possible, please know our arms and hearts will always be open.** Our adoption agreement requires our dogs to return to Team Memphis if they can't remain with their adoptive families. You'll always be met with compassion, understanding, and absolutely no judgment. We'd much rather you reach out for guidance, support, or a safe place for our dog than struggle alone. **No matter how much time has passed, our commitment never expires.** **We're here for all of it — the good days, the difficult days, and everything in between. Because this isn't just a policy. It's a lifelong promise to you and the dog we both love and share.** ❤️🐾 **🐾 Honesty Builds the Best Matches** We ask all applicants to be completely honest and accurate in their applications. Open communication helps us find the very best match for every one of our dogs. **🐾 Thoughtful Introductions Matter** We encourage slow, thoughtful introductions with other pets, allowing our dogs time to decompress, acclimate to their new surroundings, and build positive relationships at their own pace. Our team is always here to offer guidance along the way. **Because our responsibility doesn't end when our dogs walk through your front door. We care about their happiness, your happiness, and the beautiful life you're building together.** ❤️🐾
