Callie's Story
Here is what Callie’s owner has written about her:
DOB 11/25/18 Adopted by our family from Magic’s Mission February 2020. We have had her for a little over 5 years and she is a good dog, just not getting along with our other dog at this time and we need to her rehomed to be the only dog in the house.
Callie is a Catahoula and Cattle dog mix. She has the spunk and spirit of both.
She is weary of strangers initially and then once she smells you and she knows you will be gentle she will get attention as long as you will provide it.
She is house broken. She is the biggest couch potato and blanket stealer. She will lay in bed or on the couch for lazy days. She plays mostly on the floor batting around her paws and a light wrestle when you have gotten to know her.
Her favorite toys are sticks and bones. If home all day with a bone she will be content.
Walks on the leash with encouragement but doesn’t like other dogs when she passes them. She barks but doesn’t go after them.
She is great with kids. Our two year old even comes up and puts treats right in her mouth.
Prior to our adoption she was placed with a family for a brief time that had a cat and she chased the cat.
I think she should be the only dog in the house. She sees small animals outside and wants to get at them. Currently her and her sister will fight over who can get to the animal even when inside the house.
She prefers to not be in a kennel but is trained for one. She is not a chewer of anything unless a toy or bone. She did go for stuffed toys in the past but not interested over the last few years.
She loves treats and anything food related.

apply @ www.magicsmission.com
