The first time she walked on grass, it seemed to tickle her paws as she danced around happily. Stairs looked like mountains to her at first, and she found smooth floors challenging to walk on. Because she didn’t have much human contact early in her life, she can be nervous around people. It takes her some time to feel comfortable around new faces, and she might initially hide or shy away, but she eventually warms up. She is too small to jump on furniture, but she loves to sit on laps or next to you if you lift her up.
Cali's personality is shy, timid, quiet, laid-back, and chill. She can get nervous in new situations, especially with loud noises and sudden movements. She enjoys car rides, being outdoors, and taking long naps. While she doesn’t like being brushed, she is okay with baths and will likely need regular professional grooming and nail clipping.
Cali shows little interest in play, but she has low energy and is happy with short walks or running around in a securely fenced yard. She is still learning to walk on a leash and is slowly understanding the benefits of short neighborhood walks.

Cali is sure to win your heart. Please be patient with her as she takes her time to come out of her shell and become a loving member of your family.

Cali has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, & Heartworm tested, and additionally, Cali has been on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $750.00, which includes her health records!

You can help them out with these costs by heading to https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/3463 and say it’s for Cali !

If you think you can provide Cali the safe, quiet home that she deserves, Please complete our adoption application at this link: https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption

If you wish to learn more about Animalert, please visit our website at https://www.animalert.ca/

Due to the volume of emails, phone calls and messages Animalert receives, it is not always possible to respond to every application. Animalert Pet Adoptions's Adoption Policy
When a pet comes into one of our foster homes, we have our veterinarian assess its health, vaccinate it and spay/neuter it at the appropriate age. We then network, promote & advertise to find permanent guardians for all cats & dogs listed with us. We also arrange adoptions for guardians who, for a variety of reasons, can no longer keep their pets. These animals may or may not have been recently checked by their veterinarian so we cannot warrant the health of these animals still living with their original guardian.
