Hi...I’m Caitlin! When I arrived at Almost Home Foundation I was very scared of just about everything! Since being in my foster home I have learned that even though some people are loud and some noises are loud or unexpected, I am safe! I didn’t even want to walk outside when I first got here...now I love to explore the yard to sniff and play with cicadas! I’ve been so good with my eating, with going potty outside, and I sleep all night! When my foster parents have to leave, I’ve even learned to go into my crate all by myself.<br/><br/>I will need an adoptive family that has patience to help me acclimate to your home...it may take a minute. Also, I would really, really love a fenced yard so I can explore and find fun scents. Just a warning, though. Adoption Process Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease) Have a valid ID with current address Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home Foundation Be ready to make a lifetime commitment Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only) Adoption payment cash and check only Process: Fill out an application. Meet with the animal and talk with an Adoption Counselor/foster. Understand that several applicants may be interested in the animal and it can only go into one home. Almost Home Foundation makes the decision with the best interest of the animal in mind. A decision to place the animal in someone else’s home in no way implies that your home would not be a wonderful home for one of our animals. We are merely trying to make the best decision for the particular animal.
