Cagney- COME MEET!'s Story
Cagney will be at Open House at 106 Adams St Medfield on SATURDAY, April 25 9-11 am and on Monday, April 27 from 3-5pm. Anyone can attend our open houses but preference is given to those who have filled out an application ahead and been approved to adopt.

Cagney is one of four girls from the same litter (Lacey, Peanut, and Bear have all found their forever homes). She's the last one still looking — and absolutely worth the wait. We believe the siblings are Chesapeake Bay Retriever mixes.

Now one year old and about 50 pounds, Cagney is fully grown and came into rescue as an owner surrender along with her parents.

Warm, social, and full of personality, Cagney thrives on human company — whether she's curled up on the couch or chasing a ball in the yard. She's been good with cats before, though she may be tempted to give chase now that she's older.

She's smart, treat-motivated, and picks things up fast. Eager to please doesn't even cover it.

Cagney still has a lot of puppy energy, so she'll do best with an experienced owner who can provide structure, routine, and continued training. She's happiest as an only dog, isn't a fan of the crate, and would love a home with a securely fenced yard.

Adoption Fee: $250
Adoption Coordinator: Vera

Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
