Cadbury's Story

Cadbury was saved from a kill shelter the day before Easter Sunday 2023. He was in terrible condition, where he had a horrible skin infection around his neck, due to whatever his owners placed around his neck, and allowed him to get in that condition. Once they didnt care about him at all, they decied to dump him in a local dumping grounds. He wound up being picked up by animal control, which IS a KILL shelter, stray dogs have 3 days to be saved, or they are euthanized for space. As the amount of UNWANTED, ABANDONED DOGS CONTINUES TO GROW DAILY, AROUND THE COUNRTY. Dogs like Cadbury are not even given a chance. We are SO thankful a foster family stepped up for him or he would of met an early death, which he did not deserve. Cadbury is so incredably sweet, he just wants to be close to his people and furfriends, he is good with dogs, kids and people, untested with cats as of right now. He is fully house broken, and crate trained, and very smart. Cadbury shows his foster family how thankfu he is that they saved him, daily! You would be hard pressed to meet a boy thid sweet, and a border collie THIS EASY GOING, but here he is! Cadbury arrives in New England on 05/13/2023 and is in need of a FURever home, or a FOSTER HOME. Our foster homes are completely FULL. This sweet boy needs a foster hero! Paws Rescue League Inc.'s Adoption Policy

WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE AND ARE LICENSED IN CT. We have fosters throughout New England. The applicant MUST be willing to meet the dog at the foster's location. 1) You must fill out an application. Applications can take 2-5 days to complete, Please go on our website to submit an application: https://www.pawsrescueleague.org/adoptable-dogs.html YOUR INQUIRY WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNLESS AN APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED 2) A home visit will be scheduled with with the potential adopter, either in person or over a virtual video call. Once you have had your home visit, you will receive an email notifying you of our decision. 3) If approved a meet and greet will be arranged with you, and the dog and the foster parent. So you and your family/fur members can meet the dog and make sure everyone gets along. 4) We send adopters the adoption contract prior to the meet and greet so you have a chance to read over the adoption contract. Adopters must sign the contract before taking the dog home with them. You have 48 hours after meeting the dog to decide to adopt or not to adopt. - We try not to hold up dogs for too long and do not want to miss out on a good home for them. 5) If you choose to adopt, you will need to sign before picking the dog up, or bringing the dog home. We ask for a "I am furever home" picture to post to our website after each dog has been adopted! ** We are NOT adopting to MA or ME residents at this time! Thank you!
