Cabezon's Story

This cute little fella is named Cabezon and he's looking for a furever home with a person, or people, who can help him on his road to gaining confidence out in the world. He's 2-years-old and has the potential of being very mischievous. He's been resting a lot since his neuter surgery and is just now beginning to run around and play and enjoy walks in the neighborhood.

Cabezon is now very sweet with his foster sibling (Chihuahua) and foster parents. He'll do anything for a bit of food and a lot of petting. He knows sit and will come if he knows he's going to get some of that petting he loves so much.

He is scared, but curious, about sights and sounds around him when out on a walk and sometimes pauses to make sure there is no danger. With each walk, he's becoming more brave. He loves routine.

So far he has been quiet and content to be in his pen, but he does have a high-pitched bark when he needs to voice his concern. He is wary of unfamiliar people and dogs and will growl, but we're pretty sure he will warm up quickly because of his positive reactions with his foster sibling and foster parents. It is not known how he is with cats or children.

A secure yard is necessary for this young Chihuahua mix. You can make your own guesses about what the mix is. We are currently working on his house-training which requires frequent breaks outside. He does sleep through the night in his pen with no accidents.

Cabezon has been neutered, he's microchipped and is up-to-date on shots.

If you'd like to learn more about this cutie, please send in a statement of interest on our website at www.alternativehumanesociety.com
