Meet Butters! This handsome 10-year-old has been through a lot recently, but brighter days are finally ahead.<br/><br/>Butters was surrendered to a veterinarian after his family became frustrated with him for urinating in the house. Before contacting Suncoast Basset Rescue, the veterinarian performed a thorough physical exam and diagnostic testing but initially couldn't find a reason for the accidents.<br/><br/>Just a few hours later, everything changed. Butters had gone into serious medical distress and, upon sedating him, the veterinarian discovered a large bladder stone. Once surgery began, she found not just one stone—but many! Suddenly, everything made sense. Butters hadn't been misbehaving. He had been trying to tell everyone that something was wrong.<br/><br/>Thankfully, those painful bladder stones are now gone, and Butters is recovering comfortably in one of our wonderful foster homes. Already, he's feeling so much better, and we're excited to watch his true personality shine now that he's no longer living with constant pain.
