Butternut's Story
Name: Butternut
Age: 4-5 years
Weight: 33.8 lbs

Meet Butternut, a playful, energetic sweetie pie who is ready for a forever home. She was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico by our team with a litter of hungry puppies, so she had a rough start to life -- but you would never know that due to her warm heart and extremely friendly disposition.

Butternut flew from our Sanctuary to New Jersey on December 28th. She has been doing wonderfully in her foster home, enjoying snuggles, walks, park adventures, and playtimes with her foster sibling. Though she'd love a backyard, her foster mama is located in NYC, and she has been doing fantastic with city life as well!

Butternut is a lovergirl through and through, just as excited to give kisses and hugs as she is to frolic around and play with toys. She will be a fantastic addition to your household and is very friendly with other dogs. She's not a fan of cats, but humans are her favorite thing in the world!!!

Approved adopters in the Northeast can request a meet-and-greet, so get your applications in now!

To Adopt:
Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform.

Questions?
Email us at adoption@thesatoproject.org

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs.
