Buttercup's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi there, I’m Buttercup, will you pet me?!? I’m the most sociable of my litter and the runt of the group. I’m always happy and you can tell because my tail never stops wiggling. Toys are my favorite; you can find me carrying them around everywhere, even when I go potty. Sometimes I leave a pile of toys so it’s easier for foster mom to clean up. I even love to play fetch!

I am a part of the Power Puff Girl litter! We love to romp, run, and play. We have only been with the rescue a few months and are still learning all about this big world. Our foster brother Huck has taught us it can be a safe and beautiful place with lots of love and fun. We are still a bit cautious with new environments, experiences, and people, but Huck’s example helps us gain confidence as we try new things. Training treats help too! Foster mom says we learn quickly and that we are adorable, adaptable, and adoptable! We have been working on the commands sit, stay, and touch using positive reinforcement and are doing great.

We love people, attention, and cuddling!!! Every day we take turns sitting with foster mom and even fall asleep in her lap while she pets us. We don’t mind when she massages our paw pads, looks under our gums, or brushes us. We are very well socialized as we go to daycare regularly and play with dogs of all sizes and ages without problems. We are getting good with car rides too! We are crate trained and love our crates as our safe space. We are working diligently on house training and doing well.

Toys are FUN!

I love the squeaky toys, and foster mom says durable chew toys are best for our teeth because we can tear right through our stuffies. We have also learned about bubbles, and we love trying to pop, catch, and eat them! We love physical and mental and physical stimulation, which helps assure we don't puppy chew the wrong things!

Foster mom is very proud of our leash walking!

Huck taught us all about walks and we love to walk around the neighborhood. We do not pull on our leashes and love to sniff all our surroundings. We go to the bathroom with ease and are intrigued with new sounds and sights. We stay alert on our walks, as there are many new things for us. Every day we become more comfortable

And by the way, I think I am an official foodie!

I love berries, nut butter, broccoli, brussel sprouts, carrots, and more! We chew ice too! We have not displayed any food aggressive tendencies.

Buttercup would love to meet you and join your family so she can grow up going on fun adventures with you!

Buttercup will benefit from a home committed to continue her training while she is still a puppy and eager to learn. The adoption donation is $325 and will include spay, microchip and age appropriate vaccines. Please follow the link below to submit an application: https://bit.ly/3GDeyyo
