Don't let Butch's resting angry face fool you, this guy is playful and goofy at heart. Butch came to us with a sister in October 2025, after his sister found her furever home he began blossoming and showing CGHS staff just how silly he can be. They were picked up by The Dalles Police after some calls about them running across the entirety of the city, chasing cats and living the wild life. Now Butch is a reliable snuggle bug, he can be guarded and weary the first meeting but take home in a walk or try to wrestle down with him in the yarn and he will brighten up!<br/><br/>Butch is pretty nonchalant when it comes to other dogs, he is a vibe reader and will pick up on playfulness or needing space. He is down for crazy butt to ground zoomies but can also give dogs their space while he dips his toes in the pool. Female dogs seems to match his energy the best as he does like to be The Big Guy when it comes to socializing. As stated above, Butch will chase cats and small animals so it's best that his future house doesn't have any.<br/><br/>After knowing Butch for as long as we have have, he has really turned into such a mellow and well mannered dog.
