BUSTER's Story

Buster has come a long way! He is curious and adventuresome but will stay right by your side, what's known as a "velcro" dog. He loves to lounge on the bed with you or go for a walk and sneak up behind you for kisses! He would love to go everywhere with you and is just learning to love car rides. He does well with most other dogs and does not get in fights; currently friends with an American bully "pocket pit" (Dahlilah, also listed with our rescue). He LOVES his crate and is learning to walk on leash. AND he would like me to tell you that he must have blankets to burrow under. :-) If you cannot find him, he is under his pile of blankets! Buster is now around 7 years old and weighs 13 lbs. He will be up to date on vaccinations by the time of adoption. Please hit us up if you have any interest in BUSTER! Valley Canine Specialists's Adoption Policy

We have struggled with finding potential adopters, which is why we are applying here! We advertise wherever we can, and then we typically have interested parties fill out and submit an adoption application. When we find a potential placement, we then request photos or videos of yard spaces and accommodations. Promising prospects then come in to visit with the dog while performing a casual in-person interview. If everyone is happy with the placement, we then have the adopters sign an adoption application when they pay the adoption fee. If the dog is ready to be placed at that time, then they go to their new home! (If dog is intact, then we may use the process described in the sterilization question.)
