I'm a 42-pound Mini Schnauzer mix with a gentle soul and a heart that's still learning how to feel safe. <br/><br/>Shelter life makes me a little anxious, but once I'm given time and space to settle, I start to open up and show my sweet personality. I've become more social and quicker to trust, and when people call my name, I come trotting right over because I love the attention! <br/><br/>I might come off as a bit independent at first, but that's really just my nerves-I truly enjoy being close to people, soaking up pets, and especially getting those glorious butt scratches that make me sit back, relax, and smile. <br/><br/>I'll need regular exercise to help me live a healthy, happy life. Walks, playtime, or even just spending time being active with my favorite people will be great for me. <br/><br/>The most important thing to know is that I have a best friend, Toby-we're a bonded pair. He follows me everywhere and feels most secure when we're together, so we'll need to go to our new home as a team. <br/><br/>I may not always show it right away, but I have so much love to give, and with patience and care, I'll become your loyal, cuddly, and fun-loving companion right alongside my buddy Toby.
