Burnadette's Story

Hello friends and family! And all of you new friends that I'm meeting for the first time! My name is Burnadette, but you can call Burnie.

I came to MVPC after being found tied up under an overpass with some REALLY nasty chemical burns down my back, and on one side. Plus another on my rear leg. Not fun. But my friends here got me straight to a really great Vet's office, and after quite a bit of work, they got me all fixed up. I also made even more new friends there, and they didn't skimp on the cookies! (Read this part Fomma and Foppa! ?)

I am a happy, silly girl who loves everyone I meet. I also enjoy my foster siblings and am learning not to play too rough. I mean, a girl just wants to have a good time. Because my previous "family" were apparently not big on education, I didn't know much when I got here, but I've been working really hard to learn the finer points of being a princess. I am housebroken now, and good in my crate, but I don't like it there. I'd rather be with you. I am a high energy girl, and love to romp! My foster folks also say my feet are spring loaded. I get so excited when you get home that I bounce straight up in the air! I also love chew toys and my stuffies. But when playtime is over, I'll never turn down a good snuggle and some scruffins. I also enjoy going on adventures with you and love car rides.

I am looking for an active family that will also commit to helping me continue my development. I still have things to learn. I also want to be honest and let you know that although my hair is growing back well, I will always have some scarring from the burns. That's ok. Everyone says I'm a pretty girl anyway, but I think my real beauty lies beneath where it matters.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day. If you think I may be the girl for you, reach out to my pals here at MVPC. I would love to hear from you.

ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained)

ADOPTER: Dog experience
BIRTHDAY: 11/22/2023
FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment)
DOG FRIENDLY: Yes
DOGS IN HOME: Yes, a male dog in the home is required for socialization
CATS: Unknown
CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over

I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me!

***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.***

INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25.

DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER INQUIRY/CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

Professional photos courtesy of Gwen Estep Photography LLC https://www.facebook.com/GwenEstepPhotography/

A non-refundable $100 hold fee is required to secure your chosen dog and is applied to the full adoption fee (ranges from $200-$400) at the time of the home visit. If the home visit goes well, the adoption is completed at that time and our MVP is your new best friend! 1) We do not adopt to individuals under 25 2) We will check your landlord if you rent for breed and weight restrictions 3) A fence is required for most of our dogs, but exceptions for leash walking may be considered for some. We may suggest a better fit for your family dynamics, as we know these dogs better than anyone and want the dog AND our amazing families to succeed.
