Bunny's Story
My name is Bunny and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m a young lady – not yet 2 years old – and a tiny girl – just 14 lbs. I came to my foster home here in Bella Vista, Arkansas, after surviving Parvo virus. I was lucky – the breeder who owned us turned us over to a kind vet who reached out for help. SIRA agreed to cover the costs of treatment for all 11 of us Shibas who got sick. Now that I’m recovered, spayed and vaccinated, I’m ready to find my forever family! My foster mom says I’m a sweetheart. I love to snuggle and belly rubs are my favorite thing in the world. I like going for walks. But I’m always happy to come back inside to play and to be with my foster family. I follow them around and want to be wherever they are. Foster mom says I’m a bit of a princess. When I first arrived and was still recovering, my foster dad used to carry me around like a little baby. I loved that! I like meeting new people. I might bark when a stranger comes to the door, but only because they’re a friend I haven’t met yet. Once they greet me, I will happily accept petting. I’m good with other dogs. There’s another Shiba here and we get along great. He loves to play, and I will join in the fun, stealing toys and playing chase, but I’m not really into roughhousing or wrestling. I haven’t met any cats or other small pets yet. Foster mom thinks I might be okay with a dog-friendly cat. I’m a good girl in the house. I have not had any accidents and I haven’t gotten into any mischief. I love toys – especially things I can chew. And I am very food/treat motivated. My perfect forever home will be one who loves attention and affection and has time to spend with me. I’d do fine with another dog or on my own, if you have time to play with me. Since I’m still young and can be a bit mouthy when I’m excited, I might not be the best match for really little kids. If you have a fenced yard, that would be great, but I’m fine with leash walks. If you’re looking for an easy-going, petite and sweet little girl to be your very best pal, then you’ve found her! Visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you and confirm that we’ll be a good match. Once approved, SIRA will introduce you to my foster mom so we can meet! I’d love that!
