Bunny's Story

Meet Bunny (fka Venus), the happiest little pitbull in the world! Bunny is all love. Her smile is self-charging. Her tail is in perpetual helicopter mode. Her signature wonky walk fills hearts with glee. Possibly hit by a car prior to entering the shelter, she is full-steam-ahead enthusiasm. Bunny is the poster girl for resilience and joy!

Bunny is excellent on leash, easy in her crate, and she loves car rides. She’s non-reactive to other dogs on walks; however, she does need to be the only dog in the home. Bunny requires very little. She enjoys short, brisk walks. She needs to hear the soft hum of a real home -- a background TV, family phone calls, the music of dishes and friendly voices. Most of all, she needs the touch of a caring, loving human. If the thought of a low maintenance pup with a heart of gold appeals to you, adopt Bunny!

*This is a courtesy post. If you're interested in adopting Bunny, please fill out an application with us and we'll forward it to the independent rescuer who saved her life!

Big Love Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Hello and thank you for visiting Big Love Animal Rescue’s Petfinder page. This is the primary page of where all of our available animals are listed for adoption as well as on our instagram. Please note we do NOT have a brick and mortar location where you can meet our animals. All our animals are placed in pre-screened foster homes across LA county until they are adopted. Because we are a small rescue, we are limited on time, resources and manpower; with that, we unfortunately cannot reply to every inquiry while also maintaining our rescue duties. If you're interested in one of our dogs/cats, you must fill out an adoption application on our website in order to be considered. We review every single application submitted, and though we have hundreds of amazing, qualified applicants, we can only choose one applicant per dog. We then reach out to top applicant for a meet and greet. If it is a successful meet and greet, a three day trial is given before an adoption fee and contract is due. A home check is required as well. The adoption fee covers vaccinations to adoption date, microchip and spay/neuter at one of our veterinarians. We note we only adopt out in Southern California due to expenses, logistics and because we want to easily get the dog back if anything goes wrong at any point in their lives.
