Bunny's Story

UPDATED 7/16/2026 Hi! My name is Bunny! I'm a 2-year old female beagle! Officially, I'm a tricolor beagle, but my coloring is more liver & white. I'm very striking! I'm a very friendly & energetic girl when I'm around women! But I'm very timid & shy around some men & energetic children. So Nittany Beagle Rescue is thinking a home with women, or a calm home with a woman & a man, and only older calm children (12 years & older) would be best for me. I'm great with other dogs. I'm in a temporary foster home now with other dogs & I'm having a blast playing with them! I used to be chained to an old steel drum lying on it's side with the bottom cut out. That's where I went when the weather was bad. But then I went to Nittany Beagle Rescue. I'm learning about housetraining & house manners in my foster home. I'm doing great! I go outside every couple of hours to the fenced in yard. I haven't gone potty in the house once! I'm ready for the next step - to find my forever home! If you think you're the right home for me, please think about making me part of your family! When Nittany Beagle Rescue learns more about me, they'll post it. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & spayed. So I'm ready for my forever home! Please think about making me part of your family! Kennel License #4068

Nittany Beagle Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog & Nittany Beagle Rescue! We are a foster-home based rescue. We hold showings on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Lyons Kennels in Bellefonte, PA from 11am - 1pm. You can meet some of our dogs then! Please email or send a PM on our FB page if you want to know if a particular dog will be at the showing. If you are interested in a particular dog, or a type of dog, please submit an application to foster or adopt (it's the same application form). Once you have an approved application for a dog, we will connect you with the dog's foster parent. Typically the potential adopter & foster talk on the telephone first. Then if the dog seems like a good fit, we arrange a personal meet & greet.
