Buggs's Story

Buggs is an 8 year old male who is around 45 pounds and only stands around knee height. He has been in foster care for over 6 months and is BEYOND ready for a home of his very own. He has recently had to start taking medication for anxiety as a LAST resort. In the perfect home he wont need them, and this is just a temporary solution to extend his time in foster care. Buggs desperately needs a committed forever home that can give him the quality of life he deserves. His adoption fee can be waived for the perfect home.

Buggs originally came from an outdoor home and is used to having room to roam at his leisure. He has been struggling when it comes to being crated or confined indoors. While he loves to curl up on a couch or on a bed, he does not like being contained for long periods of time (like when his human leaves for long shifts at work.) He can manage shorter periods of time better but not a full 6-8 hour shift.

Buggs thrives on companionship and loves his family endlessly. He does wonderful with adults, kids, cats, and other dogs. He needs a family who either has a lot of time at home to spend with him, or who has a companion for him to bond with while his family is away. Buggs would also do great as an indoor/outdoor dog who can lounge outside while his family is gone but have a warm bed to come back to at night.

Buggs loves meeting new people and he gets really excited in public places. At home, though, he is much more mellow and is content to lounge around all of the time. He loves to cuddle up with you on the couch and watch movie after movie. Buggs still enjoys getting his zoomies out outside on occasion, but it’s very short lived and then he’s ready for another nap. He also does wonderful riding in a car and on a leash. He would make a great walking buddy for short trips to the park or a nap buddy to lounge around the house.

Buggs is doing great with house training but he does need to go outside often. His gentle nature makes him an excellent companion for anyone seeking a devoted friend. Buggs's loyalty and affectionate demeanor ensure he will be a loving addition to any household. Adopt Buggs and experience the joy of unconditional that comes with rescuing!

Buggs has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and kept current on monthly preventatives.
