Bug in MN's Story

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Bug . I am 5 year old and weigh 39 pounds. I need a new home because my previous owners couldn’t spend enough time with me, which made me anxious. I am being fostered in Lindstrom, MN.

I love chasing rubber balls and almost always bring them back, my Kong, going for car rides, and I’m great walking on a leash. I love looking out the window and sleeping in my favorite chair. I’m also comfortable laying on the floor covered with a blanket.

I have a gentle demeanor and really want to please you. I don’t enjoy hearing no, so I’ll whine a little bit but get over it quick enough. I’m overall an easy-going guy.

I get along with my Boston sister; she sometimes puts me in my place when I get too excited or nervous but that doesn’t happen very often. I love it when my high school aged foster siblings are around to give me attention.

I would rather not be left alone for long periods during the day...I’ll follow you around the house, as I love my humans. I enjoy meeting new people, but my foster mom says sometimes I get too excited. I’m a good listener and obey when she tells me ‘down’ or ‘off’. I sometimes get anxious and bark at activity outside, but my foster parents distract me from what’s happening to help me cope. I’m sure the more comfortable I feel in my surroundings, that this will improve.

I need a calm/relaxed home where my family will spend lots of time with me, take me for walks, play fetch, and cuddle. I sleep in my kennel at night but would love to share a bed with my new family. I am not destructive, I’m potty trained, and I know lots of commands like ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘stay’ ‘outside’. I could be an only dog if my owners spent enough time with me. I’d also be good with another dog in the house, if the dog was patient with me while I learn how to play.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Yes
Leash-trained?
