Bug's Story

Bug is now ready for adoption!! This sweet boy is SUCH a good dog. You can tell it when you meet him that he has something a little extra special. When he first came to the street department, he was underweight and covered in ticks. Despite having never met us, he sat patiently while we removed them. He is very people-focused and has limitless potential for training. Bug had a scary complication after neuter surgery that required weeks of monitoring and crate rest. Throughout everything, he has been a trooper, just happy for love and attention. He is crate trained, potty trained, and dog friendly. He has not been tested with cats. He is approximately 4 years old and 75-80 lbs. He would be a fantastic addition to many homes. He does well with other dogs but would be happiest in a home with calm dogs. Bug is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed, and microchipped

Speedway Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

All of our dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for heartworm. To adopt a dog from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. We do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are in foster homes. Please call us to make an appointment to meet one of our adoptable dogs.
