Meet Buffy! <br/><br/>Buffy is a 35-year-old Chihuahua mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and one very unique feature that makes her impossible to forget!<br/><br/>Buffy came to Cause For Paws Rescue as a medical transfer from Winnebago County Animal Control. One look at her left front leg and you might think this little lady has been hitting the gym—hard! Buffy has a large growth around her left elbow that gives her the appearance of having an extra-muscular arm. Fortunately, after her veterinary evaluation, spay surgery, and a biopsy, we received the best possible news: the growth is simply a benign fatty tumor called a lipoma.<br/><br/>Because the lipoma wraps all the way around her elbow, surgical removal would be extensive and unnecessary since it is purely cosmetic and doesnt bother Buffy at all. We decided that this special girl didnt need to undergo a major procedure just to change what makes her unique. We think her buff arm just adds to her charm—and is exactly why her name is Buffy!<br/><br/>Buffy is a happy, loving girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She is the perfect cuddle companion and would happily spend hours snuggled up with you on the couch. While she kennels well at night, Buffy would much prefer to be tucked into bed with her family, where she can soak up all the love and affection she deserves.<br/><br/>This sweet girl is potty trained, enjoys playing with other dogs, and gets along well with cats.
