Buddy one eye's Story
Please read this listing in its entirety.

Thank you for your interest in an exceptional dog! Foster families FaceTime or video chat when we have an approved application. Buddy is fostered in Calera AL. Not too far for adopt a nice dog.

Buddy was found stray, dirty, limping and one eye missing. He was too frightened to come close, but he showed up at the same spot for food every day.

For several weeks the same person showed up and after a month, Buddy let go of his fears and started celebrating her arrival with food and chews! After a week of seeing how happy he was, she picked him up and put her in her car and off to the vet they went!

Buddy is neutered, current on all vaccines, remarkably heartworm negative, microchipped, dewormed, and he's receiving parasite prevention.

Buddy does have a bullet in his elbow and bullet and bone fragments. Hard to believe someone would shoot a stray dog, that is obviously not a coyote! His eye was completely gone. His eye was treated and sewn closed.

He had one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the state of Alabama who recommends leaving the elbow alone. If you try to take the bullet and the bone fragments, then you'll wind up having to amputate. As long as he can use his leg, he shouldn't lose it. He will probably have some arthritis as a senior dog, but he can run like the wind with the best of them!

And whatever happened to him, it hasn't hurt the sweet demeanor that this boy has!

He loves dogs and they love him. Another dog would be wonderful for him.

Buddy is house trained. He will lay on the couch, waiting for his foster family to come home.

He is cat safe. He may sometimes try the cat food, but he won't harm a cat.

Serious Adapter should fill out the application online. We welcome any questions. We do prefer a Vet reference, current or previous to adopt this sweet boy.

$300 adoption fee and you come for your dog or we might be able to meet half way.

Serious Adopters should fill out the application online.
