Buddy: Not at shelter (with his family)'s Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Due to some changes in their family situation, Buddy and his sister Cocoa are looking for new homes. Although they love each other, they do not need to stay together, although their family thinks each one would be happiest if placed with another dog. At two years old, these two weigh about 30 pounds each and are Beagle mixes. We are told they are both sterilized, but may need to be updated with vaccines. We understand they have been exposed to children and other dogs and are very happy to be indoor or outdoor. Although we have not met them, we feel like we’ve had a pretty good description from their family, and hope they can find homes without coming to the Campbell County shelter. We ask that you apply to adopt by going to our website, and choosing their names, and then we will forward your application to their family.

Please help us help them! We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!

All adoptions begin with an application, found here: friendsofcampbellcounty.org, under the Animals heading. We review the applications, call references, and will then correspond by email with the applicants. We ask that all other pets in the household be sterilized prior to adding a new pet, and that all pets be current with rabies vaccines. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit adopted cats to be declawed following adoption.
