Buddy - NEED TEMPORARY FOSTER, OR FOSTER WITH INTENT TO ADOPT's Story
Buddy is a 2 yr old Wheaton Terrier mix - don't know what the mix is with, but his body is a little longer and his legs a little shorter than a Wheaton. He weighs 32#, and is very handsome. Buddy is a little tentative with new people (tends to bark at people he doesn't know, but he's not mean), so it takes him about 2-3 days to trust and warm up to his new person...then he is a bundle of love, and will fit right in. He is a very easy dog to have around. Buddy is OK on leash, has good recall and will sit on command. He is good with other dogs (has a lab mix in his foster home) and enjoys the trips to the dog park - he would love another playful dog in his adoptive home, and a fenced yard to play in. No experience with children, or with cats. Once he bonds to his person, he devotes himself to them. Good house manners no accidents (he is left for 9 hr workdays having free run of the house). Rides well in the car - might try to join you in the front seat but responds well to correction. No inappropriate chewing. At night, Buddy sleeps in bed with his person or on the couch. Not much interest in toys. Buddy is athletic, and runs zoomies around the yard - foster thinks that with training he might be a good agility dog. He needs regular exercise of some sort daily. He is an easy going, obedient dog. <br/>Buddy is neutered, current on distemper and rabies vaccinations, and the 4DX is negative. His microchip will be registered to Second Chance. These pictures were taken after Buddy was groomed - if you want him to look more like a Wheaton you can let his coat grow out, but expect you will need to brush him so he won't form mats. His adoption fee is $350. Call 651-771-5662 if you have questions. Buddy's current foster is on vacation for 2 weeks, and Buddy is in boarding - looking for someone to foster him for these 2 weeks, or even foster with intent to adopt him.
