BUDDY's Story

Buddy is our local escape artist! He’d love to get out of here and he go on lots of trips where he gets to do just that and he is quite well behaved. As an example one volunteer said: “He was so sweet, well-behaved, friendly, and easy, and he had a blast! Buddy got into the car and road in the backseat with no issues. On the way back, he decided to maximum cuddle time and stretched over the consul to enjoy scritches (he didn't push it, stayed safe and polite). Buddy was mostly all about the sniffing at the park and walking beside the river, but he did perk up when humans walked by - hilariously, he seemed extra into men in hats. He didn't get to meet any people until we went to Nuckoll's, where he and a server did some big and adorable cuddling. He also very nicely accepted some pets and well wishes from other patrons. Buddy had zero dog reactivity, even when we saw a few off-leash dogs. He showed no prey drive, ignoring even a lizard that nearly ran over his paw. He was awesome on leash all day, and after he got some quality sniffing done, became more responsive with us, especially in the car. He was also [a] perfect patio dog.” He weighs about 54 pounds and is about 7 years old. Come see if you could be Buddy’s best buddy and take him to see the big world he's so excited and curious about Buddy’s adoption fee has been paid by a special volunteer. He is neutered and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply depending on where his adopter lives.
