Since entering foster care, he has continued to show just how loving, adaptable, and well-mannered he is. His personality is best described as chill, happy, and curious. He is very affectionate and enjoys being close to his people, and his intelligence and responsiveness make him a rewarding dog to work with. Buddy enjoys activity and engagement, but he is just as happy to relax and unwind, making him a truly well-balanced companion.<br/><br/>Good With:<br/><br/>Dogs: Good with other dogs based on previous experience. He enjoys canine companionship but is not suited for extreme rough play. He has also become more selective on walks and no longer feels the need to greet every dog he sees.<br/><br/>Cats: Not recommended (high prey drive)<br/><br/>Kids: Yes — very gentle and enjoys attention from children<br/><br/>Men & Women: Yes, loves people and attention from everyone<br/><br/><br/>Behaviour Notes:<br/>Buddy has a high prey drive and will show interest in squirrels and birds/pigeons, but he has made great progress with redirection and continues to improve with guidance. He responds very well to positive reinforcement training, which has been key to his progress and should be continued in his future home. Buddy is not food or toy aggressive, and no guarding or fear-based behaviours have been observed. In the car, he is calm and travels well, making him an easy and comfortable passenger. Travels well in the car and remains calm! <br/><br/>Social Interactions:<br/>Buddy continues to do well in everyday city environments. He is becoming more neutral and less reactive on walks. He loves people and enjoys attention, especially from children.
