Hi, I’m Buddy! I’m a 1.5 year old energetic Lab with a big personality and even bigger love for playtime. Fetch is one of my favorite games, and I’m always excited to share my joy with people who are ready for some fun. I truly love being around humans and have a happy, enthusiastic way of spreading smiles.<br/><br/>When I get excited during play, I can be **mouthy**, but I’m working closely with HSFC staff and professional trainers to learn better manners. I respond well to clear corrections and structure, and I’m making great progress with consistent guidance.<br/><br/>Shelter life can be overwhelming for me, and I can come across as anxious here — but if you look past that, you’ll see a very sweet, affectionate boy who just needs patience and understanding to feel safe and settled.<br/><br/>I get along well with other dogs, but I **do not do well with children** and will need a **child-free home** where I can relax and thrive. I would do best with adopters who are committed to continued training, and ready to help me build confidence.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a loyal companion full of energy, heart, and potential — and you’re ready to invest in helping me succeed — I’d love to start our adventure together.
