Buddy's Story

Meet Buddy!

At just 7 months old, Buddy is a lovable Lab/Hound mix who couldn't have been given a more fitting name. This sweet boy is happiest when he's with his people, whether that's joining in on an adventure, playing in the yard, or curling up beside you for a cozy nap. If you're looking for a loyal best friend, Buddy is ready to fill that role.

While many people picture Lab mixes as large dogs, Buddy is the perfect medium size—big enough for fun and adventure, but small enough to fit comfortably into your family, your favorite spot on the couch for snuggles, and of course fit right into your heart.

Like any puppy his age, Buddy loves to play and burn off some energy. He's always up for a good romp in his foster home's fully fenced yard, but one of the things that makes him so special is that he's also learned how to settle down when playtime is over. He knows there's a time for fun and a time for relaxing, making him an easy companion to have around the house.

Buddy has been working hard in foster care and is making great progress with both crate training and house training. He's eager to learn, wants to please, and takes pride in being a good boy. He also walks nicely on a leash, making neighborhood strolls something you can both enjoy together.

One thing to know about Buddy is that he can experience motion sickness during car rides, so while he may not be the ideal co-pilot for long road trips, he's more than happy to be your everyday sidekick close to home.

Buddy's affectionate, gentle personality shines through in everything he does. He simply wants to love and be loved, and he's ready to become someone's faithful companion for years to come. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal pup who will greet you with a wagging tail and endless affection, Buddy can't wait to meet you. He is fully vetted. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
