Buddy's Story
Meet Buddy – Your Perfect Gentle Gentleman

12 years old | ~15 lbs | Bichon Frise

Buddy is a sweet, happy senior with a heart as soft as his fluffy coat. At around 12 years old, this 15-pound Bichon has mastered the art of being a lovable companion—always pleasant, gentle, and content to simply be near you. Since coming into foster care in late fall, he has never shown an ounce of aggression—just calm, cozy charm.

Medical Info:
Buddy is thriving on daily medications for hypothyroidism (thyroxine) and Cushing's disease (Vetoryl), and the difference has been amazing! He recently had a dental with several extractions and is healing beautifully (he still has a few teeth left for treats!).

Potty Training:
He's great about doing his business outside and wears a disposable belly band indoors—he's working on improving his indoor habits and would benefit from a patient routine.

Personality + Compatibility:
Buddy gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and listens well—he knows his name. Whether he's your one and only or joins another small pup in the home, Buddy will fit in just fine. His compatibility with cats is unknown.

What Buddy Needs:
Buddy is looking for a calm, loving home with someone experienced in caring for senior dogs and able to afford his daily medication. He still has many good years ahead and is ready to enjoy them with someone who sees the magic in older pups.

If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who will love you endlessly, Buddy is ready to be your best friend.

Apply now at www.animallifelinepgh.org
Please review our adoption requirements and be prepared for the long-term love and care a senior dog like Buddy deserves.

Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh | All-volunteer 501(c)(3) Rescue
PA Rescue Kennel License #16842 | 139 E 8th Ave, Homestead, PA 15120
