Sweet precious Buddy was found as a stray. Unneutered, unchipped. In foster in Tumwater, WA 42 lbs of sweetness, likely a smallish lab type mix, maybe with some border collie? Sadly, so many great dogs are in TX :( and so many are pts or die homeless alone. Buddy, yes he is POTTY TRAINED.. Cat and dog tested and did great... loves everyone. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted dog. Here he is! this is what the shelter volunteers say about Buddy "Buddy is one of those dogs who makes everyone smile the moment you meet him. With his wagging tail, bright eyes, and constant happy grin, he’s always ready to share love and joy. 💙 This sweet boy adores attention and will happily soak up every cuddle, belly rub, and head scratch you have to give. He’s great with other dogs, does well with kids, and is even friendly with cats — making him a wonderful fit for almost any home. Buddy is house-trained, leash-trained, and loves going on walks. FYI Buddy and Rusty will not be at the adoption event this Sat at Tractor supply but are totally available to adopt so please do apply. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. He will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Shayne's Rescue's Adoption Policy

Please understand we spend all of our available resources and time saving dogs from death. We are all volunteers. Please fill out an application if you have an interest as then we can approve you to adopt any pup/dogs from us. There is no point in sending in an inquiry w/o an application, as we cannot consider someone or have them meet a dog until we have approved your application. You can ask questions in the application. We think we are most reasonable to adopt from, all we ask is you will provide a loving and supportive home as a pet guardian for the dogs entire life. If something major unforeseen occurs you will always return the dog to us, never to a shelter or anyone else. If the dog is ever to go anywhere but back to us, we do need to approve that person/family beforehand.

Our Mission

We are foster based so meets can happen 7 days/week since we do not have 'office hours'. It is up to the foster and adopter to make a mutually agreeable time. No adoption events at this time.
