Buddy's Story

Buddy loves toys, and can easily be distracted from doing something you don't want him to do, if he's offered a toy.

Buddy loves to play with his brother,Toby, who he's currently being fostered with. They love to play, and will chase and wrestle with one another for hours.

When they're ready for a break, they'll come up onto the couch and take a nap. They both like to snuggle.

They love going in their crates, because they know that means they're going to get a high value treat (beef liver-they love it!).

We have their crates in our bedroom (covered with a towel), and they sleep 8-9 hours with no issues. We make sure they potty right before going to bed.

We have a sound machine that we leave on (near their crates) at night and when they're in their crates when we're away during the day.

Buddy is doing great with alerting that he has to go potty. We take them out the same door each time, so he goes to that door and either sits beside it or rings the bells that are hanging on the door knob.

Buddy usually pees twice when he goes out. It's like he doesn't quite get it all out on the first one, so we wait and make sure he goes a second time before heading inside.

Even though we have a fully fenced yard, we always take them out on a leash. This helps us to keep control of them and keep them more focused. We also say "Go Potty" about a million times, and give lots of praise (and treats) when they actually go.

We have not used pee pads in the house, because as soon as one was put one down, they tried to eat it.

They do fine in the car. We put a crate in the car, and that's how they ride. Putting a towel over the top of the crate keeps them from barking at people in neighboring cars.

They have been eating twice a day...once around 8 a.m., and then again at around 5 p.m. If they don't eat all of their breakfast, I will put it back down around noon for them to eat. Buddy eats a heaping one cup scoop.

They love ice cubes!

They definitely enjoy lick mats. We've tried roasted mashed sweet potato, peanut butter, and canned pate style dog food. We spread the treat on the mat, then freeze them, because it takes them longer to eat them.

We've trimmed their nails a couple of times, and they did really well.

They both sit on command, especially if a treat is involved.

We typically have some music playing in the background, and that seems to help distract from most outside noises that might make them bark.

These adorable boys are ready for their forever homes!

Adoption Process & Questionnaire: https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/to-adopt

My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives.

Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not guaranteed*
