Hi friends, I’m Buddy!<br/><br/>At 8.5 years young, I’ve got plenty of love to give and a whole lot of life to enjoy. I’m a big, sweet boy with an even bigger heart, and what makes me happiest is simply being close to my people. Whether we’re out exploring, enjoying a car ride, or relaxing at home, I’m happiest when I get to be part of the day.<br/><br/>I may be a senior boy, but don’t let that fool you! I still love getting out for walks and exploring new trails. I’m always ready to stop and sniff all the interesting smells along the way, and I’ve enjoyed walking alongside other dogs too. Having a four-legged friend around can make an outing even more fun!<br/><br/>Once I get to know you, you’ll quickly discover just how affectionate I can be. I love leaning into my people for ear scratches, bum scratches, and plenty of attention. I’m the kind of guy who likes to stay close, and if you stop petting me before I’m ready, I may gently put my paw on you to let you know that our cuddle session isn’t quite finished yet!<br/><br/>I’m also a big fan of adventures that involve four wheels. I love hopping into the car and heading out for an outing with my people. There’s something pretty wonderful about feeling the breeze through the window and watching the scenery pass by. Sometimes I’ll even close my eyes and just enjoy the ride.<br/><br/>When we’re home, I’m happy to switch into relaxation mode. I’m a very good housemate who settles nicely and enjoys snoozing nearby while my people work or go about their day. I’m quite happy to curl up and nap, especially when there’s a nice cool spot near the air conditioning. I do have an opinion about how much activity I need some days, though, and I’m not afraid to let you know when I think a lazy afternoon sounds better than a walk!<br/><br/>I still have a playful and silly side, too. I love having my littlet bursts of zoomies that shows off the younger side of me and make you laugh along the way. A cheerful “Go Buddy!” is all it takes to get me bouncing around and having some fun before I happily settle back down.<br/><br/>I’m looking for a patient, understanding family who will let me settle in at my own pace and appreciate all the wonderful qualities I have to offer.
