Buddy's Story

Cutie pie Buddy is sweet as he is so much fun. He is social, playful and loves to go on adventures! He is healthy and approx. 1 years old and 50lbs.. Buddy is fostered with another big silly puppy and enjoys roughhousing with her. So we think he would enjoy a well matched female pup to play with (or as an only pet would be ok). Buddy walks nicely on leash and is not reactive on walks when passing other dogs - good boy Buddy! He will even carry a ball in his mouth for his walks.

Buddy is great meeting new people. He is also super food motivated, smart and picks up things fast. He is doing well with crate training and that'll definitely be a requirement in his new home, since he's still a young pup. He sleeps quietly all night in the crate. Buddy rides well in the car and would love to go on adventures with his future family. And be prepared for pittie kisses from Buddy! Buddy is currently fostered in in Woodside, CA. Message us for more details and to meet this cutie pie.

California Pit Bull Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in adopting a dog through California Pit bull Rescue (CPR) we have a few standard steps you will need to take: We ask that you fill out our Adoption Questionnaire, to help determine what type of dog(s) would best suit you. We will arrange for a "meet and greet" with your dog(s) of choice -- everyone, human or not, who will be living with the dog or interacting with him/her regularly is required to meet in person. Home checks are mandatory -- this is when we will get a first glimpse of how your prospective family member fits in and adjusts in your home. If all goes well, we start your trial adoption period with our adoption contract and donation (which includes microchipping, vaccination and spay/neuter) of $300. Depending on the situation, you will be required to check in at intervals to provide updates on the dog's transition. In most cases we will conduct a minimum of one follow-up visit to check on the dog's condition and welfare post adoption. You will also be required to provide proof of training with an approved trainer within one month of placement, before the adoption can be finalized. We also strongly recommend that you continue lifelong training with your dog. All CPR dogs have our full support post-adoption for questions, advice and feedback. Should you ever find yourself in the position of having to give up your dog, we require that you contact us first. We also strongly urge you to contact us before issues arise, so we can provide the resources you need to successfully keep your dog with you for life.
