BUDDY's Story
MEET BUDDY

BUDDY is looking for a forever home. Here is his story from his rescuer:

Looking for a great athletic, energetic, smart, sweet companion?

We're now in Greenville, SC and have a large Jack Russell that wandered up to our property and discovered we're really dog friendly. Have tried to find the owner through all channels and then some (checked for microchip, signs, $70 worth of internet postings, even did a walk in our neighborhood with him with a "LOST DOG" sign on the back of my jacket), and really hate the thought of dropping him off at the overcrowded county animal shelter (YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS). He's been playing with our 2 big dogs well, but since he's not neutered, a lot of that was a hump fest. Four days into this and it's calmed down -- Yea! BUT we can't integrate him into our home due to us having 2 parrots and husband's kidney cancer diagnosis with surgery the end of this month. He's been hanging out in my art studio next door and in the back yard, really enjoying hanging out with our dogs and us, and is at least safe, well-fed and happy.

We would entertain paying for his vetting (neutering, shot updating, etc.) to get him top chance for adoption and throw in a couple of personal training sessions for helping him walk well on a leash and basic commands (he already knows SIT!). We’re also willing to help with relocation.
I love the fact that we have been able to evaluate him more every day. He seems young, but not a puppy. THAT’s a bonus! He appears housebroken if let out regularly and does great overnight when we let him out after 8 hours (keeping him in a very large bathroom overnight). He’s also food motivated so training should be easy. His energy level is very Jack Russell and he would make an incredible companion for someone who loves to hike, walk, or do agility.
Please contact us if you’re interested or please network through your friends. He deserves a safe home with loving peeps and a nice secure backyard to run and play.

Vicki Morris (817) 307-5618
Taylors, SC

This is a courtesy posting only. 365 Pet Connection is not responsible for the health or temperament of this animal.
