Buddy's Story

Hi, I’m Buddy!

I’m around 10–11 months old, weigh around 40 lbs., and I’ve got a cute little stub tail that wiggles just as hard as the rest of me. My story started on a busy interstate in north Mississippi, where I was found dodging traffic, but don’t worry, things got much better fast.

I came into a home with three kids and three other dogs. I was a bit shy at first, but I settled in quickly and showed everyone what a good boy I am. I’ve never been aggressive, not even when the resident “little princess” dog gave me a frosty welcome (we’re friends now). I’m respectful of the barn cats, too, though that clinic cat at the vet was a little scary!

I’m doing great with house manners. I walk nicely on a leash, ride calmly in the car, and behave well at the vet. I sleep through the night without accidents or noise, and I’m learning fast that outside is the place to potty, with only one accident so far! I rest quietly in my crate when left alone, and when I have free run of the house, I don’t chew furniture, surf counters, or get into the trash. I take my job as a polite house guest very seriously!

If you’re looking for a young dog with a gentle heart, great manners, and a resilient spirit, I think I could be your Buddy for life.
