He supposedly had been re-homed 4 times in two years. Lady owner turned him into a NC shelter to be euthanized due to behavioral issues, telling the staff he barks and wails and she couldn't get him housetrained. She said she had him 4 months and never took him to a vet. The shelter thought he deserved another chance, so they got the owner to surrender him over and asked for rescue help. While here in rescue, we found that he was already microchipped. Turns out, the owner lived in Florida and moved here to NC where she just turned him into the shelter for no good reason.

He is very sweet, rides well and first night at CCR he ate and slept all night with no issues. His ideal home will be with children 10 and older, a playful dog friendly companion his size and a fenced yard. At his vet appointment he was very sweet, had dirty ears, HW negative and is on the thin side needing to gain a few pounds. He is now neutered, groomed and has had a mild dental. No apartments or condos and no history with cats or kids. He will do best with someone who is home often and can offer him a consistent routine of working on leash manners, house training, his wailing issues and boost his confidence so he feels secure. He is completely vetted and ready for a forever home. We are working on house training.

Adoption Fee $500

Charlotte Cocker Rescue of NC, Inc's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process begins with an adoption application. Our board members will review all applications and contact you via email ASAP. We strive to match the best possible homes with the cockers we have in rescue that meets your family's needs. We do not do trial adoptions as it simply is not fair to the new families and to the rescue kids. Our beliefs are that the rescue animals deserve a second chance and our volunteer foster families provide a tremendous service helping us access each dog’s personality. By fostering them first, we are able to place them in a loving home with many details to their habits, likes and dislikes, and whether they do well with other pets and/or children. We do our very best when matching our rescue kids to the families adopting them. Once an application has been approved and the applicant's references checked, we will make arrangements for you to come meet your potential new family member. We encourage
