Buck's Story
Meet Buck!

Buck is a two year old Treeing Walker Coonhound weighing a little over 50 lbs.
He came to us as a stray and has been working very hard with our dedicated K9 staff on leash manners, basic commands and house training. He is doing very well and is smart and eager to learn. He will need work on the leash training but has improved greatly since coming into our care.

Buck is an active and playful dog and would do very well in an active home. He did not respond well when he was cat tested so he would need to go to a cat free home. He has had mixed reactions about other dogs at our facility but there is the potential that he could go to a home with other dogs. We are unsure of how he would be with small children but think he could do well in a home with older (12+) children.

Buck loves his chew toys and he is a super chewer! He also loves playtime in our yards but doesn't want to be out too long, and he will let you know with his classic hound bark. He has a lot of personality and is looking for his forever home.

Buck is fully vaccinated, neutered and available for adoption.

If you are interested in learning more about Buck, give us a call at (207) 743-8679 or fill out an application on our website to meet him.
