Buck's Story
Buck is a handsome Husky/Malamute mix with a big heart, a happy personality, and plenty of love to give.

Buck’s story began when a Good Samaritan found him wandering in October 2024. She brought him to the shelter hoping his family would come looking for him. When no one did, she stepped up again and brought him to safety. Since then, she has had him neutered, arranged training, and given him the structure, stability, and love he needed.

And Buck has come a long way.

Once an energetic teenage boy, Buck has mellowed considerably. He is a very good-natured, affectionate dog who absolutely loves people: men, women, children, and seniors alike. He’s a happy boy who enjoys his walks, loves treats, and is eager to please.

Buck currently lives successfully with two other dogs and is even submissive to the female dog in the home. He can be reactive to unfamiliar small dogs while out on walks, so he will benefit from an experienced adopter who understands northern breeds and will continue working with him. He has also shown some resource guarding in the past, but this behavior has improved immensely with training, consistency, and structure.

At 67 pounds, Buck is a big, beautiful boy who is absolutely stunning in person. He has so much personality and has already shown just how much he can learn and grow with the right guidance.

Buck’s guardian angel has given him everything she can. Now he needs the one thing she can’t give him - a permanent home of his own.

Buck is fully vetted and ready to find his forever family.
