With the passion and dedication of the SD&SC team, he received several life-changing surgeries and top-notch medical care. His face, once marred with pain, began to heal, and he experienced the warmth of a nurturing hand, something he had longed for during his difficult years on the streets.<br/><br/>Today, Bubba is approximately six or seven years old and a robust 60 pounds, often described as a teddy bear by those who meet him. He is neutered and currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, but that hasn’t dampened his spirit. SDSC will continue to assist with heartworm treatment. Thanks to our specialized trainers, Bubba has been learning the ropes of what it means to be a beloved companion. As his trainer aptly puts it: Bubba is a sweet soul with a zest for life. He loves people, other dogs and TOYS. He happily entertains himself and is always down for snuggling. It is shocking how sweet he is considering all he has been through.
