Bryce's Story

🐾THE SWEETEST GENTLEMAN JUST WAITING FOR HIS FOREVER FAMILY 🐾

Hi there! My name is Bryce, and I’m a sweet, calm boy currently living in a foster home while I wait to find my forever family.

My foster says the best words to describe me are gentle, affectionate, and easygoing. I’m the kind of dog who enjoys being close to my people, but I’m not overly demanding. One of my favorite things to do is simply sit beside you and rest my head gently in your lap. It’s my quiet way of saying, “I like being with you.”

I’m a pretty chill guy overall. I enjoy going for walks and I do very well on the leash—I don’t pull and I’m happy just strolling along and taking in the world. When I see other dogs in the distance, I wag my tail and seem happy to see them.

I’m also a very gentle soul. I take treats politely, and my foster has never seen any food guarding or heard me growl. You can touch me anywhere, brush me, groom me, or give me belly rubs—actually, belly rubs are one of my favorite things! Sometimes I’ll roll right onto my back to make it extra easy for you.

I’ve even met a cat for the first time, and I wasn’t quite sure what to think at first—I actually jumped backward in surprise! But I stayed curious and gentle the whole time. Chickens don’t bother me either, and I just calmly walk by them.

I’m still learning some basic commands, like “sit,” but I’m a smart boy and eager to learn. I already have good manners on leash and a calm personality, so I think training will come naturally with a little patience and love.

Inside the house, I’ve been very respectful. I haven’t had any accidents when I’ve been indoors, and I prefer to do my business outside on walks. I’m also very quiet—my foster hasn’t even heard me bark yet!

I handle storms well and don’t seem bothered by loud noises. I’m just a gentle, easygoing companion who enjoys peaceful time with my people.

Right now, I’m still settling into foster care, but my foster already says I’m one of the sweetest dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal, calm, affectionate friend who will happily sit beside you and keep you company, I might just be your perfect match.

I can’t wait to find the family who will give me the loving home I’ve been waiting for. Maybe that could be you. 🐾💛

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta's Adoption Policy
Great Pyrenees are the southeasts best kept secret. We are a magnificent and majestic breed that is one of the best dogs a family can own - we really are. We are gentle giants loved by all because we combine two characteristics that are hard to beat. First, we are terrific family pets. We are lovable and gentle with children - we love them even when they treat us like massive fluff balls! Second, and where we differ from most house pets, we are protectors. I tend to be the witty observer but my big brother Jenkins is a typical Great Pyrenees and he is amazing as he patrols our property watching for anything unusual. He takes his job very seriously. Great Pyrenees were bred as working dogs and our "job" in the home is to protect our "family". We have regular adoption days - usually every other Saturday from 11am until 1 pm at the Perimeter Petsmart in Atlanta, GA visit our website to see current adoption days

Our Mission
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neuter...
