The shelter environment makes him anxious and excited to get outside. But once he's out, he becomes calm, relaxed, and wonderful to be with. There is something peaceful about his company, and I genuinely enjoy every moment I spend with him."<br/><br/>Brutus is the dog who just needs someone willing to look a little closer. The reward is a loyal, gentle companion and a very good friend.<br/><br/>His Ideal Home:<br/><br/>Brutus would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy regular walks and spend quality time with his people.<br/>While he has not been formally tested with other dogs, he generally remains calm when passing them on walks and is not reactive. However, because of his size and because he seems happiest soaking up all the attention himself, a single-dog home may be the best fit.<br/>One thing we do know for sure: Brutus has a strong prey drive.<br/>No cats, pocket pets, poultry, or other small animals, please.<br/>Because of his size and strength, interactions with younger children should always be supervised, although he has shown excellent manners and does not display food or toy possessiveness.<br/><br/>Could You Be Brutus' Person?<br/>Brutus has already experienced abandonment.
