Brutus's Story
Brutus is such a wonderful senior boy who deserves his happily ever after.

We pulled him as a very unhappy and scared boy from a local shelter. He was bitey, hard to handle and sad. He was likely in a lot of pain because he had 22 rotten teeth that needed pulling and an anal gland that had ruptured. He also has a grade 4/5 heart murmur so it was truly amazing he the trauma of being at the shelter didn't kill him.

Once we got his teeth pulled, his anal glands resolved, the infection cleared with antibiotics and his heart medication squared away, he turned into a completely different dog! He's cuddly, playful with other tiny dogs and loves his treats.

We're sad he had such a rough life before being rescued but we're excited to see him spend the rest of his life being doted on.

Brutus will need 2 heart medications that cost roughly $80 a month. Otherwise, he's a healthy senior boy. Check ups every 6 months is recommended to ensure his heart medication is the right dose. If you think you'd be able to give this good boy a forever home, message us at Happy Tails Ranch Rescue.

We also have a FB page so you can see his journey and additional pictures. If you inquire via Petfinder, be sure to check your spam for a response.
